Last Sunday marked one-year since the Volée Air Flight 180 exploded and crashed, shortly after a 9:25 p.m take-off from JFK Airport in New York.
All 287 passengers on board were tragically killed. After the explosion, debris rained into the Atlantic Ocean for several miles.
Authorities from the National Transportation and Safety Board and the Federal Bureau of Investigation soon began their inquiry.
An official report stated that deterioration of silicon insulation on an electrical connector to the scavenger pump, may have leaked combustible fluids.
A spark in the fuel switch in the fuselage may have ignited the fuel line and proceeded to the fuel pump, which would have set off the catastrophic explosion.
It is a disaster that has affected many. None more so than Mount Abraham High School, which lost 40 students and 4 faculty members in the crash.
The Senior French class from Mount Abraham High School, were en route to Paris on a field trip. There were reports that several students were removed from the aircraft, moments before departure.
But it was the events after the crash that turned this tragic story into something even stranger.
The survivors who managed to get off the plane before it crashed, (pictured above) have now all died, in a series of mysterious and bizarre accidents.
The incidents range from suicide, gas explosions, decapitation, a traffic accident and one victim was crushed by a falling sign.
The last survivor of the Flight 180 curse; Clear Rivers, 19, was killed in an explosion at Lakeview Hospital yesterday. Authorities are trying to determine what caused the deadly blast.
The teenager committed herself to the Stonybrook Institution, claiming that Death itself was trying to kill her.
Rivers checked herself into the renowned psychiatric facility back in March, following the violent death of her boyfriend and fellow Flight 180 survivor.
